Video: Erykah Badu @ Made

I ended up spontaneously visiting the US this summer and lamented the fact that I would miss the Erykah Badu concert on August 4th.  I’ve seen her perform and knew that she would bring her improvisational and inspired spirit to create a performance of original beauty.  I am thankful that Made captured some of that in a rare collaboration between Badu, a painter and a string quartet.  Not only does is give me a glimpse of a performer I love but underscores the limitless possibility of collaboration and cross-pollination between artists in Berlin – something The Mic Movement was created to highlight and support.  Enjoy MOMENTS at MADE – Chapter Two with Erykah Badu, Jaybo and Miki’s String Quintet – The Film.
